A comprehensive textbook addressing both the technical and legal frameworks of insurance in Qatar, providing critical insights for legal practitioners and students.
This study is meticulously divided into two main sections to provide a holistic understanding of the insurance industry. The technical section defines insurance, its origins, and its core elements—Risk, Premium, Insurance Amount, and Insurable Interest. The second section focuses on the legal dimensions under Qatari law, including contract formation, the obligations of the insurer and insured, and the expiration of the contract. The book also provides comparative analyses with Arab and foreign legislations and presents practical case law from the Qatari Court of Cassation.
